Consideration and possible authorization to disburse up to $1,852,750 to West County Wastewater District to advance the North Richmond Living Levee and Collaborative Shoreline Adaptation Plan by developing 65% design drawings and draft environmental documents for a 0.65-mile section of living levee and 7 acres of tidal marsh restoration and by conducting studies and developing 30% design drawings and collaborative strategies for a living levee at two adjacent areas of shoreline in North Richmond, Contra Costa County. 10. Hayward Marsh Restoration Project, Phase 2(Action)
Consideration and possible authorization to disburse up to $600,000 to the East Bay Regional Park District to prepare a 100% engineering design and plan, cost estimates, and permit applications for the Hayward Marsh Restoration Project, Phase 2, located in the City of Hayward in Alameda County. Consideration and possible authorization to disburse up to $1,700,000 to Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy for planning and design, community engagement, and studies in support of environmental review and permitting requirements, to enhance habitat and realign a segment of the Bay Trail at Bothin Marsh Open Space Preserve in Marin County. 12. Restoring Wetland-Upland Transition Zone Habitat with STRAW, Phase 2 (Action)
Consideration and possible authorization to disburse up to $1,936,000 to point Blue Conservation Science to restore approximately 1.1 acres of critical wetland-upland transition zone habitat at the American Canyon Wetlands, engaging STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed) participants on site, and to offer early career training and workforce development that focuses on historically underserved communities. 13. Augmentation for Bay Restoration Regulatory Integration Team (Action)
Consideration and possible authorization to disburse up to $2,500,000 over at least five years and authorization to accept and disburse up to $2,000,000 of funds granted to the Authority, to augment the Authority’s previous authorization to disburse up to $3,250,000 over five years (to be adjusted annually by the Consumer Price Index) and accept and disburse up to $3,000,000 of funds granted to the Authority, to state and federal regulatory agencies for continued operation of the Bay Restoration Regulatory Integration Team. Note: Agenda items may be taken out of sequence at the discretion of the Restoration Authority. At any time during the meeting, but prior to the adjournment of the open session of the meeting, the Restoration Authority may recess or adjourn to closed session to consider personnel matters, prices and terms of real estate transactions, and possible and pending litigation.
