Pre-Application Meeting Preparation

To ensure a productive meeting, we ask projects to please submit the following project information to the BRRIT two weeks before the pre-application meeting.  Projects can submit information to the BRRIT via email to BRRIT@waterboards.ca.gov (limit to 25 MB) or upload large project files here. The project information package should include the following:

  • Project name
  • The applicant and agent, including contact info
  • Project purpose
  • Brief project description
  • Project location (address and lat/long) and map 
  • Brief history of the site
  • Description of the surrounding area
  • Any alternatives being considered
  • Any known controversies about the project
  • Proposed mitigation for unavoidable impacts (can be tentative)
  • Status of environmental documents, such as CEQA
  • Grant funding, timelines, and any specific conditions related to the grant
  • Project timelines (anticipated schedule for submitting permit applications, receiving project authorizations and beginning project construction)
  • Specific concerns or questions for the BRRIT to consider
  • Existing permits
  • Any studies completed to date
