ABAG, the Association of Bay Area Governments, has appointed East Palo Alto Mayor Lisa Gauthier to the Governing Board of the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority to represent the South Bay.

The U.S. spends $60 million annually to dredge the waterways of the San Francisco Bay and parts of Northern California to support commercial navigation and connect local ports to global markets. Dredging is also a valuable climate adaptation tool: providing sediment to build up tidal wetlands and shoreline communities that are vulnerable to sea level rise. This event will feature:
